Certified Tutor

I first got involved with tutoring through a volunteer program at Arizona State University, where I offered weekly reading tutoring sessions to elementary school students. Although I loved spreading my love of reading to younger students and having the chance to personally help students reach academic milestones, I wanted to have a bigger impact within the program. I spent the following two years as the leader of the program, training new tutors and managing our volunteer organization. In addition to working with youngsters as both a tutor and a Behavioral Health Technician over the past four years, I also enjoy aiding my peers. At ASU, I served as a TA for several psychology courses, and also served as a writing tutor for the university's psychology department. In completing the pre-medicine track at ASU, I frequently sought help from my peers at the campus tutoring centers. Knowing how helpful these services were to me, I am incredibly enthusiastic about helping students achieve their goals in higher education, as well.

I recently graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in psychology and pre-medicine, and I'm currently applying for medical school. In my free time, I love to hike to see the amazing Tucson scenery, attend yoga classes, travel, and dance!
