As a CELTA-certified ESL teacher who has tutored students in ACT, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, and English literature for three years, I believe I am an ideal candidate to help you achieve your academic goals. I graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in English literature and currently use my background as an editorial assistant in the publishing industry. In high school, I took AP English and scored a 30 on the ACT, so I am knowledgeable of the high school English curriculum and the demands put on a student to matriculate at a prestigious university. I have extensive one-on-one and group class experience teaching both test preparation and general English, so I am easily able to adjust my teaching style to the given task. Moreover, my experience catering to students aged seven to forty-seven, each with different visual, auditory and kinaesthetic needs, has given me the pedagogical and curriculum-development skills needed to maximize the potential of any student.
