Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, my background first generation college student has filled my work with purpose. I earned my Masters of Philosophy in Education from the University of Cambridge in England as a recipient of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship. I am a former admissions officer and college guidance coordinator and have four years of higher education experience. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Georgetown University. In my current career, I advocate for postsecondary access, affordability, and inclusion, developing content to assist in college access and college admissions literacy. I have have been featured on PBS, NBC's "Talk Around Time" and have spoken at the White House Summit on Postsecondary Diversity and Inclusion.I am currently a University Innovation Fellow at Arizona State University. I am excited about providing writing instruction and essay strategy to students who are interesting in enhancing their writing skills and preparing for college!
