Certified Tutor

I am a student with a simultaneous passion for both learning and teaching. I currently attend the University of Miami. I consider myself academically gifted, possessing a 3.72 college GPA and currently in the Anthropological Honors Society at UM. I was in the Science, National, English, History, and Spanish Honors Societies at my high school and ranked third in my entire class. I have taken AP and Honors classes as well as Dual Enrollment. These competitive classes have ranged from AP Calculus, AP English 4, AP Chemistry, AP European History, AP Biology, AP Economics, and AP Psychology. I excel particularly in English, as I am a skilled and experienced writer.

With such diverse academic experience, I enjoy sharing this knowledge with students. I have nearly four years of experience with tutoring kids and teenagers from an age range of 8-18. I try my very best to help the student understand what they are doing. Whether it is homework help or understanding a subject, I want the student to truly understand for themselves rather than have the work done for them. My method is to have them understand the "why" in concepts rather than just the "how", so that they understand rather than memorize concepts they will soon forget.
