Hello!
I am a graduate student in Museum Education with the George Washington University. I graduated from Drury University in May 2017 with a B.A. in Art History.
Formally, I have worked in multiple capacities with young students with disabilities, as well as mentoring my peers in high school and college. Informally, I have tutored younger friends and the children of family friends since I was in middle school, and love working one-on-one with students. This fall I have a work placement in a DC area high school and will be developing a museum field trip for my students.
I strongly believe in the power of informal learning environments like museums, libraries, and camps, and I work my passion for art and creativity into everything I do.
I believe every student has potential, and that it's just about giving the student the tools they need to unlock that potential in order to foster a lifetime love of learning.
