I first started tutoring as a means to make extra money in high school - and it has since developed into a passion for teaching in my adult life. I attended the College of Biological Sciences at the University of Minnesota, where I earned my B.S. In Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development, as well as a minor in Leadership.

During my time as an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to serve as a tutor with my University, as well as a teaching assistant for several biology courses. Within this realm, I was able to refine my teaching techniques, and expand upon repertoire of topics and subjects. During this time, I also honed my test-prep tutoring skills in the ACT, SAT, and MCAT.

My teaching philosophy is one of personalization. Every student is different, and every student learns in different ways. I utilize these differences to understand the best route to teaching a subject - whether is be kinesthetic, auditory, or any other means!
