Certified Tutor

I am an experimental psychologist with a passion for teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Trinity University, and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from Penn State. I have instructed students at Penn State in the following subjects: Statistics, experimental design, scientific writing, and psychology.

Subjects that I tutor: Statistics, experimental design, scientific writing, introduction to psychology, social psychology, psychology of gender.

I have 10 years of experience with SPSS.

Teaching philosophy/style: Baby-steps, true learning occurs through baby steps. My teaching method focuses on helping students develop an understanding of material, gradually. This technique promotes comprehension, rather than memorization, as well as the development of strong cognitive abilities, like critical thinking.

During my free time I enjoy playing the harmonica and cooking!
