Certified Tutor
I recently graduated from Drew University, earning my Master of Arts in Teaching. I am certified to teach secondary English, Theatre Arts, and Special Education. In May, I was named one of the top 15 student teachers in the state of New Jersey. I am currently teaching 9th grade ELA and Drama in Bergen County.
I also received my bachelor's degree from Drew University in 2017. My first major was in English Literature with a concentration in American Contemporary Fiction, and my second was in Theatre Arts, with a concentration in Directing and a minor in Applied Performance. I spent a ton of my time reading and analyzing works of fiction, poetry, and plays.
I have tutored students of all ages, from pre-school all the way to students preparing their Doctoral dissertations. While I have tutored most often in English and writing-related subjects, I also enjoy tutoring the social sciences, including sociology and psychology. I love to make connections between the content we read and write today, and compare it to the great works of the past. I believe that students learn best when they are learning something they find exciting and engaging, and that is my priority as a tutor. You are guaranteed a fun session with me!
When I am not doing class-related work or tutoring, I love to write poetry or read for pleasure. I have recently come to love audiobooks! I also direct plays and musicals.
