Certified Tutor

I am a certified (NY and MA), retired science teacher willing to tutor you, or your son or daughter in IB Chemistry, HS Chemistry, AP Chemistry, SAT Chemistry and/or ACT Science.

I taught for 45 years and I have not lost my knack for motivating, encouraging, and helping students. Chemistry, in particular, with a Periodic Table of Elements, balanced chemical equations, moles, stoichiometry and electrochemistry involve a morass of numbers that I can readily explain.

I have resided in SE North Carolina for 12 years now and have tutored chemistry students at UNC at Wilmington in CHEM 101. Both students successfully improved their average and achieved Final Grades of B+.

One high school student was only a freshman enrolled in Honors Chemistry, and she achieved her goal for the course, an A. Another high school student, a Junior, was very bright who had difficulty understanding her teacher. We worked together for 6 months with immeasurable success.

I am passionate about Chemistry and how it affects our everyday lives, e.g. the Cape Fear River water contamination. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you. I promise you complete satisfaction if you hire me. I look forward to hearing from you.
