I've been involved with Math problems before I even started learning it in school. Because of my dad's passion for Math, he started teaching me Math at a very young age with real life examples. That molded my inclination towards it. Since then, I've been very good with Math and have constantly maintained my grades. Maths has been my forte and I even enjoy studying for it.
Also, I love teaching kids and working with them. I used to tutor middle school students back home during my Summer Vacation. That lasted for around 6 months before I came to college.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I think every student has different learning needs, so when you teach students you need to understand their learning capacity.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Get to know the student and how well they grasp new concepts.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I'd help the student practice as many problems as they can in order to make sure they develop an in-depth understanding of the concept.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
By giving them incentives to learn.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Try teaching it another way, or try to give a hands-on example of the concept.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Devise relevant reading techniques, such as reading introductory and concluding lines of paragraphs in order to understand the context.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Teaching every student differently based on his/her learning style.
