I was in sports talk radio for eight years. I believe being successful comes down to knowing what you want and then knowing how to get it. That's why I believe a tutor/teacher/coach can be so important. They have been there themselves and want to pass on their knowledge and experience.
If you can become clear on those two things, the learning and growth will come. It will come even faster with personalizing your working and applying it to your life.
I was doubted in middle school and high school in even getting into college. I ended up doing fairly well on tests and got into a good college. I know what it's like being on both ends.
Learning is about being open minded and realizing how much you don't know. With that attitude, work ethic and technique students can truly do better than they ever thought possible.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
It's a matter of understanding students' learning styles, because every brain is different.
