I believe in being the best version of oneself, pursuing all passions to the utmost extent. To that end, I am a huge proponent of lifelong learning, and I seek to spread that enthusiasm for studying the world around us to anyone else eager to learn.
I graduated in 2015 with an Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. I am currently a Master's student at Virginia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering and robotics. I work in the terrestrial robotics laboratoryat Virginia Tech doing hardware and software engineering for a firefighting robot design for the US Navy.
In my effort to be a well-rounded human being, in addition to my scholastic interests, I am a runner, amateur athlete, music-lover, mediocre guitarist, and food enthusiast with a pension for getting entirely too excited about new software and engineering projects.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Student's should learn material by tying it to concepts they know and understand. Memorization isn't learning.
