What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching and tutoring philosophy is that every student is capable of learning. I have a strong belief in differentiated instruction and positive feedback. I work with students to find the best way to approach a subject matter for each individual learner, as all are unique. I am highly motivated and energetic, always looking for ways to make learning fun and approachable.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session I would try to connect with the new student as much as possible. I work with students to gain an understanding of strengths and areas with room for improvement. I try to gauge what would be most helpful for the student moving forward.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I work with students to build learning strategies that they can use on their own in the future. I also strive to improve their confidence in their work.
