I am a graduate student in the Master of Fine Arts (Creative Writing) Program at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. One day, I hope to teach at the collegiate level. At the moment, I enjoy tutoring in a variety of subjects and helping students find out where their academic passions lie. I believe in dedication, small steps to learning, and maintaining an optimistic attitude.
I have always had a passion for learning, and with it, education. I first began tutoring in high school, where I chaired our school's National Honor Society's tutoring program. I worked with teachers and with students, creating effective programs in our local middle and high school. In college, I continued tutoring with the organization TRiO, working in Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools. I also worked on the side as a tutor for Instaedu, a website that serves to bring tutors and students together. I am currently working towards completing my Master's degree, with the aim of one day becoming a college professor. I have the drive to succeed, and I am both efficient and organized. My many years of experience situate me perfectly to work with students in several different subjects, of different ages, and of different backgrounds.
