Certified Tutor

I am a knowledgeable and excited person to my core. I am an aspiring scientist currently working as a lab manager in a programmed cell death biology/neuroscience lab. My picture was from my time in a production lab based around organic chemistry. I have a solid background in the hard sciences and I try to learn more every day.

I have been teaching, mentoring, and tutoring for the last six years. I started my mentoring with the Denver Urban Debate League (an inner-city debate league for underprivileged students). There I have judged and coached debate and was awarded with the 2012 "Judge of the Year" award. I have been commended for my public speaking ability and my ability to help others with that as well.

I have taught classes on traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders to groups of around thirty to forty. I often met with these folks on an individual basis afterwords to discuss the material and how it impacts their life.

Finally, and most importantly, during my time as an undergraduate I tutored at Regis University for two and a half years. I was certified to tutor: Neuroscience, Psychology, Communications, and Philosophy. I was most utilized for my psychology and neuroscience backgrounds. By the time I graduated I was the most utilized non-math based tutor often tutoring fifteen to twenty students at once. I only had one student during my time tutoring that did not increase their letter grade by at least one full level. I pride myself on being active, interesting and a happy person to work with.
