I believe education is a vital aspect of our society as it not only helps our society flourish, but it helps our youth learn the means to success. My goal as a teacher has always been to assist my students in achieving their goals. Whether the goal is short-term, such as receiving a high score on the ACT, or long-term, such as going to college to major in engineering, I have worked with students of all different ability levels to pursue their dreams.
I care deeply about the success of my students, and I work hard to vary instruction based on an individual's needs. If a student is interested in sports, I will try to find curriculum materials that reflect that interest. It is important that students becomes personally vested in their education.
To be a role model for my students, I continually work to learn new techniques and methods of instruction. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the University of South Florida, and have been trained in ACT, AP, IB, and differentiated instruction. My education and background has prepared me to instruct a variety of students from different backgrounds and learning abilities.
In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog on walks, perusing local museums, trying new ethnic foods with my husband, picnicking at the beach, reading new books, viewing local theater productions and cooking. I find that spending time with family and friends is precious, and try to do so whenever I can!
