I graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2012 with a dual degree in Foreign Language Eduacation and Spanish. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors Program and am currently a Spanish teacher and soccer coach at Riverwood International Charter School. During the 2012-2013 school year, I served as World Languages Departmental Chair at Benjamin Banneker High School in College Park, GA. I am certified to teach Spanish in grades K-12, and am working towards an AP and IB certification. I have experience teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 3 Honors, and Spanish 4 Honors.
I spent the majority of my time at UGA volunteering as a mentor with various after school programs. I tutored inner city and immigrant children while also finding time to be an involved member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. I was an elected member of my chapter's Cabinet Board for two years where I served as Athletics Chair. I was also a member of UGA Rotaract and the Golden Key Honors Society. I studied abroad in Spain in 2011 for a summer and am fluent in both written and conversational Spanish. I hope to pursue a Masters Degree in the near future.
In my free time, I love to run, play soccer, watch football, and play with my dog, Munson. I am dedicated to my students and will always go the extra mile to help them understand difficult concepts. My students call me the acronym queen because I always find an easy way to remember irregular verbs and their conjugations.
