The ability to understand and achieve is not enough for me. To help those around me understand and move forward in life is one of the most important keys to achievement and success. Whether it be mathematics, science, or life goals, it has always brought a smile to me face to see someone else conquer what they have been fighting for. I distinctly remember the few people in my past years of education who have made a big impact on my understanding of math and science, and I have made it my goal to ensure that I strive to do the same for someone else. As an elementary school student, I had difficulties accomplishing the work that was required of me, and now I will soon graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a mathematics minor and have earned my FAA private pilot's license. I know what it's like to struggle, as well as what it's like overcoming those struggles. Over the years I have come to realize that not everyone learns the same way, but EVERYONE is capable of learning. It's just a matter of finding that connection, and then moving on from there.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Showing students how to not only understand but to flourish academically. Ultimately, seeing the 'light' go off is the most rewarding part of this type of work. Academic growth, as well as personal growth, is the key.
