Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Stanford University, where I majored in Film and Media studies and tutored and lectured in the public speaking program for over two years. As a public speaking tutor, I helped talented students develop greater communication skills so their presentations could match the strength of their ideas. I also tutor in writing, humanities subjects, and standardized testing, but my teaching goals are consistent throughout: the key to peak performance in any field, particularly in the high pressure scenarios of public speaking and standardized testing, is confidence in one's own abilities. I think the competitive intensity of the classroom can hamper many students' confidence, but tutoring can remedy this by creating a safe and individualized environment for learning. Beyond tutoring, I am passionate about filmmaking, writing, photography, and international travel (my recent trips have included Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Bosnia, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Cambodia.)
