Certified Tutor

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Boston with a B.S. in Exercise & Health Sciences and a B.S. in Biology. I am in the process of applying to medical school with the hopes of becoming a Physician. I am also currently working toward becoming a certified EMT for the city of Boston. Surprisingly, I was not always as passionate about Science, learning and medicine as I am today. It wasn't until college when I was enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology that I began to discover my true passions with the encouragement, inspiration and support of enthusiastic professors and fellow students. I have been a Biology, Anatomy, Physiology and English tutor for almost 4 years now and tutored a total of over 400 students in that time period.

I like to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for those that I tutor. Communication is key and I believe it is important to be able to explain topics in a variety of ways to be sure that students of all different learning styles and backgrounds can understand and digest the information fully. I am very friendly, enthusiastic, compassionate, and patient. I truly love to learn which is why I enjoy teaching others.

Contrary to popular belief, not all my time is spent in a classroom, studying or tutoring. In my free time I enjoy photography, music and playing guitar and piano. I am also an avid Boston sports fan!
