We went over and edited the student's first annotated bibliography for her Western Lit class, then began brainstorming and preparing outlines for two more papers for her English and World Lit classes, both due after spring break.

The student and I worked again on Wednesday to polish her Latin American history essay. I'm very proud of her final product, and hope she gets a good grade on it to boost her confidence. She was a pleasure to work with again. Bright kid.

The student and I continued to work on an essay for his humanities class on Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness." We collected examples and quotes for his body paragraph, and discussed various approaches he could take to writing the essay.

The student sent over another draft of her Bullying paper to be edited, as well as a set of peer review questions. She also had a paper analyzing her presentation on an app. She tends to over-use "the" and "that," but is doing much better with the a/an distinctions.

The student and I went over the last few things we'd like to include/edit on her first essay. We are both very excited to wrap up the first one! We exchanged and discussed our edited versions of her second essay, then looked at the first draft she wrote of her third essay. Since we felt that we couldn't do much more during our session with the essays, we moved on to her college application and brainstormed how to repurpose what she has already written to suit the college's prompts. We moved very quickly today and I was really impressed with the work the student did; I can tell that she is getting more confident with her ideas and her writing is more interesting because of it.

The student made some solid progress today. She showed up with a lot of questions about her 6 essay prompts and I think I helped her understand them better. She now is armed with an outline for each of her essays and will attempt to write each of them before we meet again next week.
