Just graduated from the University of Arkansas with my B.S. in kinesiology and a minor in spanish.I am now attending medical school at KUMC.I enjoy exercise, current events/following the news, investing, spending time outdoors, and going out with friends

I fully believe that every student should have equal access to quality and engaging education. I believe that access to a tutor allows a student that extra assistance to help them stick out in the classroom and excel over any academic challenge. After completing my Bachelors of Science in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, I moved to New York City to begin my role as a teacher. For the past year, I have worked as a high school chemistry teacher at an NYC Department of Education public school in the Bronx. I love teaching and helping students find their "ah-ha" moments in both science and math. I know that these are challenging subjects but I know that every student has the ability to be successful given the right practice and support. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education from Fordham University. Outside of school, I love to stay active outdoors, sing, and see Broadway shows.

As an educator, it is my goal to cater to every students individual needs as a learner rather than having the student adjust to my teaching style as is so unfortunately demanded by teachers. After my third year at Temple University, I have come to love helping others build the foundations for a strong education and enhance their problem solving abilities. I recently was able to have a position as an undergraduate TA in a high level organic chemistry class which developed my skills both as an educator and a student, because the two are inseparable. I am currently pursuing a BS in chemistry at Temple University and wish to attend graduate school in order to get my PhD in inorganic chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going out with friends to explore Philadelphia, and learning something new every day!

For three years, I taught at a private secondary school focusing on 11th and 12th grade biology, chemistry and mathematics as well as 10th grade Integrated Science. I have tutored various students in statistics, algebra, trigonometry and geometry but my passion is teaching biology and chemistry. I believe that the true goal of education is to build intelligence and character. I always look for the best in my students. I make learning fun by using the best approach in a given situation to boost the learning capacity in my student.
