I graduated from the University of Miami with a dual degree in Political Science and Philosophy with minors in Spanish and Criminology. After five years working in political consulting and government affairs, I am studying to attend law school. I have experience tutoring second grade through high school, as well as undergraduate students on a variety of subjects. As a tutor, I am patient, friendly, and I go above and beyond to accommodate for each students' individual learning style.

My most recent collaborative project was nominated for a literary award for outstanding translation of contemporary Russian fiction.I received a BA in French and English from Indiana University in 2007, and graduated on the Dean's list with honors, and won the prestigious Quinten B. Hope award for excellence in French Language Studies. I studied one year at the University of Provence, in Aix-en-Provence, France. I am a fluent French speaker, interpreter, translator, and writer in French. I also have taught French and English in schools, camps, and tutoring sessions. I studied Rehabilitation Counseling at Hunter College in graduate school, and hope to continue my studies in education and one day soon be a public school teacher.I love working with children, and there is nothing else that gives me a greater sense of fulfillment. I have worked with children of all ages from infancy to adolescence as an advocate, instructor and counselor. I have worked as a yoga instructor, camp counselor, language instructor, soccer coach and assistant teacher of art. I have supervised and created classes designed specifically for children with special needs and learning disabilities. I also have had the opportunity to work for the Time In Arts Initiative. Time In is a grant-funded outreach program working to provide enrichment through arts to Pre-K students who attend underserved and struggling public schools in the Bronx and Manhattan. At Time In I was able to combine my interests by working both as an assistant art instructor and grant writer for the program.I believe that the role of an educator is to identify ways to make information accessible to every student. I want to instill in every student the confidence to ask questions and seek information. I believe that encouraging curiosity is what allows for successful learning.

These people challenged me to my core and my goal is to impart that same wisdom to anyone who wants help in their classes. I received an undergraduate education at the University of California Los Angeles from 2008 - 2012, where I earned a degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Here I earned a prestigious University Research Program Scholarship with the Oppenheimer Foundation for one year. I also performed research for the Howard Hughes Foundation one year later. My collective experiences and insatiable desire for success always lead me to find students who want the same thing.

I've been a classroom teacher for the last 12 years. Although I studied engineering, I'm well versed in creative writing. I've worked Elementary, middle. and high school. I'm currently a writing teacher at a Middle school. I'm a published writer, spoken word artist, and playwright. My delight is to be a conduit who assist students reach their highest potential.Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering. I taught algebra 1 in high school.I'm ESOL certified. I've worked with ESOL students the last 10 years. I've been teaching writing as a stand alone class in the last three years. I'm a professional editor. I am a patient, engaging, and fun tutor. I've been in New York for three years, and I love it here. In my spare time I play tennis, read books, or go to the beach with friends. I am a fan of all types of music and recently took up the guitar.I have decades of experience as a Senior Finance Executive for a Fortune 500 company. My various roles have encompassed General Accounting, cost account accounting, financial planning, financial reporting and financial systems development. I have served as the FInancial representative on the Leadership team for multiple business units. Training and teaching was an integral part of all my roles. I was responsible for the design and delivery of Financial training for non- financial people and for the training of the entire Finance organization on a new Decision Support System.I can teach all subject areas in Accounting and Auditing. I particularly enjoy teaching accounting theory and concepts and then relating them to their practical application in the business world.
