Today the student and I reviewed his slides for the immune system in preparation for his exam on Wednesday. I shared my screen and discussed his class slides while he made note cards and asked questions about any area that he wasn't sure of. Overall the session went well and he seems confident that he will do well on the exam. I told him to text me with any questions and we will meet again when he has more class material.

Today we reviewed a worksheet on restriction enzymes. We talked about what they are used for and how they work. The worksheet covered how they are named, how they fragment DNA, and how to differentiate between enzymes. Then it started into how the fragments run in an electrophoresis agar gel. We talked about how electrophoresis works and why it differentiates between fragment sizes. The student finished the worksheet and reviewed some of the directional and regional information from last session. I gave her a YouTube channel that I think will be helpful for reviewing the terms. I told her I also will email her some sites that help review the terms.

We went over the structure of the brain model, and I quizzed him on the different parts, and he did great! Since he has a quiz today, we reviewed the anatomical structures of the nervous system. He said he was feeling confident in his abilities. I think he will do great on the quiz!
