I have lived in Texas all my life. I’ve moved from Houston to Austin and back again. I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I pursued a degree in sound engineering and recording technology with an emphasis in Pre-Med and Pre-Law. I plan on attending an institution where I can achieve a medical doctorate simultaneously with a degree in jurisdictional prudence.
Five years at the UT has taught me how to take in complicated information, process it and teach it to fellow students. In a more professional atmosphere, I have helped students achieve their academic goals through tutoring on a high school level.
That being said, there is a certain thrill that I have when I see someone comprehend a subject that was previously foreign to them. I have seen the look regarding subjects from an elementary level to a collegiate level. Regardless of what subject I am working with someone on, I will strive to make sure the student understands.
Personally, I have an easily approachable personality. I’m friendly and easy for students and parents to get to know and trust. It’s difficult to teach someone unless there is a foundation of trust between the two parties and my disposition makes it easy to achieve that relationship.
I have many hobbies. Primarily I love to practice my violin. I have been playing since I was two years old. My parents put a stick in one hand and a cardboard box in the other till I could handle the real thing. Other hobbies include fencing, reading, swimming and skiing.
