About Me

I aim to take a student from frustration to understanding. I use a variety of approaches and tailor them to meet the student's needs. I truly enjoy seeing tutees succeed. I am passionate about all aspects of teaching. I owe that to my parents who supported education by serving on boards of education. My BackgroundI graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan Univerity (BS, biology) and UNMC (doctor of pharmacy, Pharm. D.)I am a board-certified psychiatric pharmacist (BCPP)I have taught/mentored pharmacy students; written chapters in psychiatry for the predecessor for Rx Prep (PharmPrep); and written test questions for BCPP recertification materials. I currently work in the area of Medical Education. I have been tutoring 2 years. My successful tutees display similar qualities (of those I know, about 85% pass their first retry, and the majority pass an additional attempt). Adequate Prep Time, Engagement, and Dedication were paramount to their success. Our sessions will be relaxed, though serious, and not seem like a chore. My specialties are calculations and psychiatry/neurology, but I am also very proficient in many of the other areas on the exam.
