I assisted the student with a review of her geometry homework, which consisted of a worksheet that was about translations. She had to draw the translations of shapes and describe the translations of a shape that was moved from one location to another. She did well.

The student completed a unit 3 evaluation exam for his cultural studies class. Also, he worked on a project for the class.

We worked on the verbal section and some math. The student struggles with vocabulary and passages but has a very good attitude. We went over strategies for sentence completions using context clues and finding key words. We also went over root words. Homework is math sections.

We worked on quadratic equations (factoring) and using the quadratic formula. By the end of the session, the student was showing significant progress and doing problems autonomously.

I met with the student to help get him ready for his test. He had already completed a homework assignment. We then went through his book, which had a review section. I gave him some pointers to help him prepare for the test and encouraged him to ask his teacher questions about the problems.
