Hi, I'm Stephanie! I recently graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Biology, earning a 3.9 GPA. With three years of research experience and a strong background in chemistry, biology, physics, math, and engineering, I am eager to tutor STEM subjects from middle school through college levels. I look forward to simplifying challenging concepts, fostering a supportive learning environment, and helping students build confidence. I am committed to helping students find excitement in STEM.

Thermodynamics, equilibrium, electrochemistry — AP Chemistry demands that students hold multiple models in their heads simultaneously and know when to apply each one. Helen tackles this by teaching the underlying logic of each concept before drilling calculations, an approach shaped by her engineering training at Johns Hopkins. Her research experience at Oregon Health & Science University also means she can show students how these principles play out in real laboratory settings.
A cellular and molecular biology degree means Xiansheng didn't just take AP Chemistry — he kept using thermodynamics, equilibrium, and reaction kinetics throughout his undergraduate research. He unpacks tough units like electrochemistry and acid-base titrations by tying them to tangible lab scenarios students can visualize.
I am a Masters student in Physics at the University of Washington and have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Most recently, I worked as a teacher at the Yellow Wood Academy, a private high school that offers students a specialized one-on-one classroom environment. At YWA, I taught all high school science classes (including AP, Computer Programming, and Environmental Science) and all levels of high school math. In addition to my teaching and tutoring duties, I designed individualized lesson plans, curricula, homework assignments, and tests. Subjects I have successfully tutored Physics: all levels Chemistry: all levels high school, plus P-Chem, O-Chem Biology: all levels high school Math: all levels high school, plus Differential Equations, Statistics, some Group Theory. Standardized test preparation (incl. SAT, ACT, GRE, MCAT) Need help in another area? Just ask! While math and science are the subjects I am most passionate about, I am well-versed in many academic areas, and I may be able to help you.
Helping students in their education is my passion. I understand how frustrating it is to keep trying on understanding a concept or master a skill without getting a satisfying result. I aim to help students enjoy learning and acquiring knowledge. Always remember that knowledge is power, and nobody can take it from you. I have sufficient tutoring and teaching experience in secondary and post-secondary settings. I worked as a tutor at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I tutored college students different courses in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and psychology. Also, l worked as a graduate teaching assistant at Marquette University. I taught the laboratory part of general chemistry, analytical chemistry, and organic chemistry. Furthermore, l worked as a science teacher at different secondary schools. I taught science for grades 4,5,6, and 8. Also, l taught chemistry for grade 9. When it comes to my education, l have a bachelor degree in biology healthcare science and chemistry biomolecular science (double major). In addition, l have a master's degree in chemistry. I received my undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and my graduate education at Marquette University. I tutor for numerous subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, human anatomy, developmental biology, ecology, and biochemistry. Also, l tutor for the GRE, DAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. My favorite subjects are the math, physics, biology, and chemistry subjects because l, simply, enjoy these fields. My teaching philosophy and tutoring style are based on practicing with various examples. When you are confronted with numerous problems to solve, you become more confident in that subject area. As a result, better performance in quizzes and exams. Outside of academia, learning about other cultures and countries around the world is my interest.
Thermodynamics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry each require a different style of problem-solving, and AP Chemistry crams all of them into one exam. Andrew's biochemistry degree and lab research give him deep fluency with these concepts at the molecular level, so he can unpack why Le Chatelier's principle works or how entropy drives spontaneity — not just which formula to plug numbers into.
Raveena's bioinformatics degree at VCU means she doesn't just know AP Chemistry's content — she applies it daily, using computational tools to analyze molecular structures and chemical data in ways that make topics like electron configuration and periodic trends feel concrete. Her 8-year direct med program has taken her well beyond the AP curriculum through organic chemistry and biochemistry, giving her a clear picture of which foundational concepts the free-response section rewards most. Rated 4.9 by students.
Pratik's strongest subject is chemistry, and it shows — he tutors it at both the high school and college level from his home base as a premed biology major at Cornell. He digs into the conceptual logic behind equilibrium, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry so that students can reason through unfamiliar free-response prompts instead of relying on memorized shortcuts.
AP Chemistry's toughest problems — multi-step equilibrium calculations, thermodynamic predictions, electrochemistry — demand the kind of quantitative fluency that comes naturally to a physics major. Nima walks through these concepts by building from first principles, connecting Le Chatelier's principle or Gibbs free energy to the underlying logic rather than a memorized rule set. His 1580 SAT speaks to the precision he brings to problem-solving.
Premed neuroscience coursework at Rice University means Aditi has worked through college-level chemistry where concepts like electron configuration, molecular geometry, and acid-base reactions aren't optional — they're prerequisites for understanding how the brain functions at a chemical level. She unpacks AP Chemistry's conceptual questions by tying abstract ideas back to observable phenomena, making topics like periodicity and bonding theory stick. Rated 4.8 by students.
The jump from honors chemistry to AP Chemistry catches students off guard because suddenly they need to explain *why* — why equilibrium shifts, why certain reactions are spontaneous, why atomic structure dictates bonding behavior. Cassandra tackles these conceptual layers by tying each unit back to the underlying thermodynamic and kinetic principles, so students aren't just memorizing trends but understanding the logic that drives them. Her science degree and experience with analytical chemistry give her depth well beyond the AP curriculum.
A PhD student at UT Southwestern with a Master's in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins and a biochemistry degree from SMU, Pauline has lived the full chemistry pipeline — from general chem through organic and into the graduate-level biochemistry that AP Chemistry is preparing students for. She zeroes in on the conceptual leaps that cause the most trouble, like connecting Le Chatelier's principle to actual equilibrium math or translating Lewis structures into predictions about molecular polarity. Her experience tutoring across Algebra, Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry means she can catch when a student's real gap is mathematical rather than conceptual — and fix both.
Thermodynamics, electron orbitals, kinetics — AP Chemistry sits right at the intersection of Dennis's physics and math training. His research simulating turbulent plasmas and designing optical filters required deep fluency with atomic behavior and energy transfer, so he explains concepts like equilibrium and electrochemistry through the underlying physics rather than just memorized rules.
Neuroscience at Duke required Ankit to master chemistry at the molecular level — understanding how ions cross membranes, how neurotransmitters bind receptors, and how electrochemical gradients drive cellular processes. That gives him a concrete, biology-rooted way to teach AP Chemistry topics like oxidation-reduction reactions and intermolecular forces, where seeing the real-world consequences makes the theory click. His 1580 SAT and 4.8 rating back up the depth he brings to exam preparation.
Georgia Tech's chemical engineering curriculum threw Aimee into college-level thermodynamics, kinetics, and reaction engineering years before most students encounter those ideas — which means she can teach AP Chemistry's toughest conceptual leaps, like connecting enthalpy diagrams to spontaneity or interpreting rate law data, from genuine fluency rather than textbook familiarity. Her 4.9 rating and experience as a teaching assistant show she can translate that depth into clear, patient explanations when a student is stuck on a free-response problem at 9 p.m. the night before the exam.
Three semesters as a college chemistry TA gave Joshua deep familiarity with the exact concepts that stump AP students: equilibrium calculations, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. He knows how free-response questions are structured and teaches students to connect mathematical problem-solving with the conceptual reasoning the AP exam rewards.
Samantha's psychology studies at Princeton might seem unrelated to AP Chemistry, but her neuropsychology focus requires understanding the chemical processes underlying brain function — neurotransmitter synthesis, ion channel dynamics, and the thermodynamics of cellular signaling all draw on the same principles tested in AP Chem. She applies that molecular-level thinking to topics like atomic structure and reaction energetics, teaching students to reason through problems rather than memorize isolated facts. Rated 4.9 by students.
