I have done a lot of different jobs, but I've never found anything I like as much as helping students. I have a gift for explaining things in a way that anyone can easily understand. My students and I have fun but we get things done. I'm very easy to talk to, and I enjoy meeting new people, and discovering how I can help them!

I am an adjunct English professor in Austin, TX. I love helping students with writing essays, writing assignments, and reading comprehension.
I am a Wake Forest University graduate with a degree in Chemistry and minors in Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. Currently, I work as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Brigham, where I support clinical research focused on diabetes and metabolic diseases. I have extensive experience tutoring students of all ages, including college-level Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. As a former Chemistry Center Tutor at Wake Forest University and a Varsity Tutors educator, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles, helping them build both knowledge and confidence. I am especially passionate about STEM subjects and believe that true understanding comes from learning concepts rather than memorizing facts. My tutoring style is interactive and individualized. I assess each student's strengths and areas for improvement, ask questions to encourage critical thinking, and adapt my teaching approach to fit their needs.
I am a Wake Forest University alumni with a Bachelors in English. I am passionate about education, with an emphasis on English language and composition. I tutored multiple subjects in high school, and in college I worked at the Wake Forest Writing Center where I was inspired on a daily basis by my 50-minute sessions. The ability to help somebody organize their thoughts in a written assignment and ease their anxieties is always a good feeling, and I truly love making writing more accessible in a world that tends to find it intimidating or boring. In general, I have a natural inclination toward all subjects related to the humanities and have always loved psychology in addition to language.Outside of tutoring, I am an animal lover with a dog named Holly and two cats, Norah and Smith. I consider music to be my second language and am looking forward to learning how to play piano in the future. And of course, I am an avid reader (mostly fiction and personal non-fiction) and I love to write.
I am a recent graduate of Wake Forest University. I graduated, with honors, with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. During my time at Wake Forest University I worked as tutor in the Chemistry Department. I tutored fellow students in general and organic chemistry. I clarified chemical concepts, explained chemical structures and mechanisms, and further developed friendships with a variety of students. In addition to tutoring I became an adviser and reassured my peers that chemistry was not impossible to conquer and encouraged them to keep persevering. I am more than happy not only to help solve other's problems, but also inspire others to maybe one day love chemistry as much as I do. I also tutored a local high schooler during my last semester at Wake Forest University. I explained chemical concepts, reviewed class material and homework, and provided test taking skills for her upcoming AP Chemistry Exam. I not only have a passion for chemistry but also to help others excel because I know what it is like to be in their shoes. Some of my favorite moments in the past have been when students reach their "aha!" moment because I explained something in a creative way or gave them a funny saying in order to remember something. I can't wait to help others reach their "aha!" moment.
I'm a professional writer, editor, and graduate-level researcher with 10+ years of experience helping students strengthen clarity, flow, argument structure, and self-confidence. I can support your studies as a writing coach, college essay specialist, humanities tutor, ACT, AP, and IB test prep (History and English). We can work through narrative structure, how to find the best supporting evidence for your arguments, and much more. When we work together, my goal is for you to learn tangible skills while feeling supported in achieving high marks in school (whether you're in high school, undergrad, or a graduate student!) Educational Background: I attended Wake Forest University for my undergraduate studies, where I double-majored in English and Political Science & International Relations, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I later earned a master's degree in Strategic Intelligence & Analysis from Northeastern University, with a concentration in Human Rights Law and Counterterrorism.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. With over five years of experience teaching real estate education, I am passionate about helping students connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications. My approach emphasizes understanding each student's background and tailoring my teaching methods to their unique learning styles. I have taught a diverse range of students, from recent high school graduates to seasoned professionals with decades of experience. I believe that fostering a supportive learning environment enhances engagement and retention. My goal is to empower students with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in their real estate careers. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, boating, skiing, camping and being outdoors with family and friends. I am also always looking for my next real estate investment!
I've been an entrepreneur, business consultant, and faculty member for over 16 years. My credentials include being a CPA with a Juris Doctor, Master of Accountancy, and Bachelor of Science in Business. My greatest strengths are being a good listener, creating strategy, and following through. I'm empathetic, but I don't back down from excuses because I know that within every "can't" is a "can". I admire truth and transparency.
I am a graduate of Morehouse College with a B.S. in mathematics and a graduate of Wake Forest University with a M.A. in Mathematics. I currently serve as a math teacher at an Atlanta private high school, and have tutored mathematics for over a decade. I take pleasure in guiding students to that light bulb moment, where everything makes sense. I believe no one is incapable of learning anything. It is only a difference of how they learn. I see it as my job as a tutor to meet each student where they are, and cater the lesson plan to their learning style. We all can master math, it is just being confident enough in yourself to do so.
I am a high school English teacher and have taught middle school language arts as well. Before switching careers and becoming a teacher, I was also an attorney for 15 years. Through my varied background and education, I believe that I relate well to many different types of students and that I have the knowledge and experience to help them master any reading or writing-related difficulties that they may be experiencing.
As a passionate educator with a Master's in Business Administration from Wake Forest University, I am dedicated to transforming complex financial concepts into accessible knowledge for my students. With experience in tutoring subjects such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and CPA preparation, I believe that each student has a unique learning style that deserves a customized approach. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment that encourages students to set achievable goals and realize their potential. By employing practical, common-sense teaching methods, I strive to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in my students, turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
I am currently studying at Teachers College Columbia University to get my Masters in Literacy. For my undergraduate, I studied at Wake Forest and received a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am also a licensed teacher! I would love to help your child learn in any way I can! I am happy to drive to someone nearby or tutor via online video chat.
