With an educational background in biomedical engineering, I want to help students succeed in science and math. I am good at breaking down complex subjects into more understandable concepts.

I am a current student at the University of Louisville working towards my Bachelor's degree (majoring in Biology with a minor in Sociology). My hopes are to progress beyond that to medical school. I am an alumni of Elizabethtown High School, where I also worked for three years as a tutor in the local Homework Help program. After graduation, I then took a gap year, and assisted with tutoring K-5 kids at G.C. Burkhead Elementary School. Teaching is one of my greatest passions! As a student growing up, I've always struggled with wanting to be the best while not knowing how to handle the pressures that schooling sometimes brings for children. By the time I reached my teens, I learned how to change one of my greatest struggles into one of my greatest assets. Helping students of all ages understand difficult concepts so that they gain a new level of confidence in not only themselves, but in their academic abilities helped foster a love for teaching and learning within myself. As a tutor, I find myself trying to push my students to reach their maximum capacity while allowing them to find that potential in a loving and safe environment. My greatest hope is to allow the chance for my students to learn without the fear that some classroom environments can bring. I tutor a large variety of subjects, but my personal favorites revolve around Math and Science. During my free time, you often will find me somewhere outdoors! I love to garden or go on adventurous outings. When I am not outdoors gardening, river rafting, hiking, or swimming, I enjoy making the most of my time volunteering or working on various arts and crafts projects. I like to think of myself as an adventurous spirit, and an old soul at heart.
Currently, I'm a fourth year dental student and I'm motivated to tutor. I tutored for about four years in my undergraduate and this is where I learned different learning strategies. I altered and personalized the way I taught each student depending on how they learn best. I was able to communicate effectively and would enjoy every session I had with each student. I hope to do the same continuing on.

I tutor students in chemistry and biochemistry. I have a strong passion for the subject and enjoy helping people learn about this wonderful field of science. I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of Louisville in May 2020. My tutoring style is trying to provide a light touch and guide the student towards a better understanding of the topic, with as much of the work coming from the student as possible .
I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe education is a powerful tool that opens doors and transforms lives. My experience working with students has shown me how impactful personalized guidance can be in building confidence and fostering a love for learning. With a strong foundation in math and science, I bring a solid academic background to my tutoring, having earned a Bachlor's in Biology and continuing to pursue a Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene. I specialize in tutoring like Algebra and Biology, with a particular passion for Geometry and College Algebra, as I find it rewarding to help students tackle challenging concepts and see their understanding grow. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, adaptability, and creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and make mistakes. My tutoring style focuses on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and tailoring my approach to each student's learning style. Outside of academics, I enjoy working and dancing, which help me stay balanced and bring a fresh perspective to my teaching. By combining my love for learning with my commitment to student success, I strive to inspire others to reach their full potential.
I am a strong advocate for education. I believe all children are not the same and learn differently yet are capable to learning. It's not how you start the race but how you finish!
Hi I'm Clay! I am an EMT in Louisville, KY. I have worked in EMS for 5 years and am a recent graduate of the University of Louisville. I love pre hospital medicine and connecting the hard sciences to applied health. Most of all, I love teaching and training others.
I am currently a high school English teacher. I have experience teaching literacy, writing skills, and grammar and syntax. I have also collaborated in special education classes and English as a second language classes. I am passionate about education in general as well as the subject of English Language Arts.
I received my Masters degree in Humanities with a focus in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Chicago. Before earning my Masters degree, I attended the University of Louisville, where I received my Bachelors of Art in Humanities with a minor in Film Studies. During my time at the University of Louisville, I pursued a variety of different majors, in French, Philosophy, Math and Physics due to the diverse range of my passions, and finally settled on the Humanities because it allowed me to study all of them at once. I am most passionate about teaching anything within the Arts (e.g. Literature), French language and culture, and the purer side of Mathematics, where the abstractions of numbers give us the freedom to do with them what we will. I also love helping students work their way through the daunting task of preparing for standardized tests. I have often found that my past students have gotten tangled in the problems that have been set out for them, and I have always found success in teaching the conceptual framework behind these problems, so that they learn to find solutions by whatever means they prefer. As indicated by my degrees at the beginning, I am incredibly passionate about film and film studies I am a huge movie buff. But perhaps the most important thing I can say about myself is that I don't believe that any subject is out of reach for any student. It's just about finding a way through the jargon to something that makes sense.
I am an licensed attorney with a law degree and a mathematics degree. I have experience tutoring numerous elementary, middle and high school students in an in-home setting. I have a proven ability to teach needed skills in a clear and effective way. My ultimate goal is for my students to achieve their goals and become more confident in their abilities. If I can play even a small role in a student's success, it is highly gratifying. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you.
