I graduated from MIT with a degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and I love using my skills and experiences to help empower others to reach their goals! My teaching philosophy is holistic, so I modify my style based on the individual while being patient and empathetic along the way. There are a number of different reasons why someone might not be improving in a certain subject, so I try to learn more about students so we can troubleshoot and empower them to take an active role in understanding what is and isn't working for them. I grew up living around the world: Tripoli, Quito, and various states. I have a degree from MIT and spent 25 years at Intel in a number of positions. I started tutoring back in the 90's in a program called Start Making A Reader Today (SMART). I found some computer programs that did alphabet and word recognition with animation.
