I immediately continued on to graduate school and completed my Master's degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, specializing in Language Acquisition at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona in December 2020. My Master's thesis investigated a student's second language learning abilities depending on differing teaching platforms: face- to- face vs. live video lessons. I taught several classes at The University of Texas at Austin as a Doctoral Candidate, where I also earned my M.A. in Philosophy. At the University of Southern California, I earned my B.A. with Departmental Honors along with the Discovery Scholar’s award for excellence in independent research. I have been tutoring and teaching for eleven years, with a primary emphasis on developing my students’ writing and critical thinking skills.

I am a graduate student at Sam Houston State University pursuing MS in chemistry and going to graduate in May 2016. I am looking forward to join graduate program at UT Austin to obtain PhD in chemistry. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor at SHSU for various chemistry courses. I have always been passionate about chemistry and mathematics because of their direct relation with our everyday life, a need to think deeply for problem solving, and the presence of wide scope to always learn something new. I have been tutoring these courses to the school and college level students for about five years in one-onone and small group settings. I enjoy tutoring GRE quantitative as well. My tutoring strategy is to show a path to the students so that they can think through the problems and solve them by building confidence in themselves. I believe that the role of tutor is to guide, to motivate, to develop curiosity and to help students to understand concepts with a goal of watching them succeed. I am a career for-profit and not-for-profit CFO who enjoys helping others learn and grow in their chosen field of study and future professions. I have also taught and tutored GMAT and LSAT courses for a leading test preparation company. I have a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School. I have used both Finance and Accounting extensively in my career and enjoy using my deep knowledge of these subjects to help lead organizations. I am a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Honors with minors in Computer Science and Business. I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. Prior to University, I spent my spare time spreading environmental awareness to elementary students, coaching middle school basketball teams, and guiding nascent MathCounts and Science Olympiad programs. Since arriving at UT Austin, I have had the privilege of teaching a classroom of middle schoolers for a semester as part of the UTeach Outreach program. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and the college application process. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face.
