I have experience in the governmental and political sphere, ranging from writing to campaigns and more. I have also written professionally in academic, journalistic and non-profit settings. While I tutor in a range of subjects, I am especially passionate about English related subjects at all levels, including varieties of literature, writing, and grammar. I also enjoy philosophy, politics (including civics and political science), and theology. Knowledge of these subjects is crucial to living as an informed citizen, and equips students with the capabilities to engage in society and the work force--as well as life problems they will encounter--at a very high level. That is why I am especially passionate about these areas, and I hope to help others learn and use them too through relational and effective tutoring.

Many years later, I have now mastered the difficult material, and I am ready to convey it to you!Together, we will do whatever it takes to reach your goals. We can utilize different learning methods such as visualization, conversation, problem solving, and conceptualization. We can focus directly on your problem areas, or take a step back and look at the big picture. As a double major in Biochemistry and Neuroscience, I don't only know the material, but I also understand how it is learned best. My objective is to make you comfortable enough to tutor the subject yourself!Outside of tutoring, I enjoy activities such as hiking and running. I also research Alzheimer's and Diabetes in lab rats!I practice healthy lifestyle habits from eating well, to exercise and good sleep. I have three and a half years of experience tutoring high school and college students, in a wide variety of subjects, including ACT, SAT, and GRE test prep, as well as many topics in the humanities. I am a current medical student at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. I recently graduated Drexel University with a master degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Anatomy and Pathology. I completed my Undergraduate degrees at Mount Mary University, BS in Chemistry and BA in Spanish. After graduating undergrad I spent 6 months in Kyrgyzstan teaching college English. I enjoy tutoring English, math, Spanish, and science. I have experience with tutoring these subjects in students ages 5-26. My tutoring style is independently tailored to the student I am working with to make sure they are being challenged appropriately.

I graduated from Regis University located in Denver, Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Through programs supported by Regis University I gained experience tutoring elementary school children in the nearby communities, college students and adults.What draws me towards tutoring is the sense of fulfillment it provides me. I enjoy passing on my knowledge to students and see them grow to ultimately master the material. Some of the subjects I am comfortable teaching are mathematics, chemistry and Spanish. Out of these subjects mathematics is my favorite to teach because of the logic found in the subject. I find it fascinating how, in mathematics, topics work towards a unifying theme.One of the traits which I believe makes me a good tutor is my patience. While tutoring I enjoy working through problems repeatedly with students until mastery of the concept is achieved. I strongly believe that every child is capable of learning any subject and it’s the tutor’s duty to employ the proper strategy.Outside of tutoring I enjoy volunteering and traveling. Thankfully, I have been able to combine these interests and have volunteered in various communities abroad. These experiences have had a positive impact in my life. Moreover, they have changed the way I perceive the life of others and my own. Lastly, some of my other interests include playing guitar, reading and watching football with my family.

I currently work full time as a Software Engineer at a Carnegie Mellon based Neurotech startup, Precision Neuroscopics. In this role I apply Software Engineering concepts to Biomedical Applications to advance the commercialization of cutting edge Neuro-detection algorithms. I have a Master's Degree from Carnegie Mellon and a B.S. from the University of Florida, both in Biomedical Engineering.
