About Me

As a reading and writer tutor, my goal is to help students go beyond the basics. I want them to discover stories that relate to them and enliven their minds. Additionally, I don't want students to be intimidated by writing. Writing can be easily conquered and harnessed. As writers, we are in control of our readers, and we develop awesome communication skills that will help us no matter what our chosen profession may be. I focus on each individual student--finding strengths and fine tuning weaknesses. I find immense joy in guiding learners through their academic journeys, and I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right support and the right training. I'm a life-long learner myself, and I want to share that joy of learning and discovering with our students. I have over 10 years of teaching experience, both in person and virtual. I have a bachelor's degree in English and anthropology and a master's degree in education with an emphasis in English.
