About Me

I enjoy helping students understand new material. I have worked with students of a variety of backgrounds, from college freshman to nontraditional students returning to college. I earned an Associates in Science from Mitchell Community College and a Bachelors of Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During my education, I tutored students through Mitchell's in house tutoring service. I tutor math from basic addition and subtraction to Calculus 2, and algebra and calculus based physics. Algebra and calculus are my favorite subjects to help students with. Every person learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to the student. Written problems versus verbal working out the problem, both work. Outside of schooling, I enjoy playing large multiplayer games; creating programs that either solve a problem or just for fun; sewing, crocheting, and several other crafting hobbies; cooking; and playing with my 2 cats.
