About Me

I am a certified educator with over eight years of experience working in English Language Arts with 9th-12th grade students. I have also taught English to Students who Speak Other Languages (ESOL) 9th-12th grade of all language proficiency levels. Working with high school students has given me the opportunity to reflect on the impact we have on those around us. I have enjoyed my time teaching and helping students figure out that they DO like reading and that they ARE smart and capable of reaching their dreams. I enjoy using tech tools with students and helping them explore their creative abilities. My drive is for students to feel empowered and have the ability to advocate for themselves.
