My college experience and bachelors degree was in Early Childhood Education and I graduated with honors in 2006 from USC here in South Carolina. After teaching 1st-3rd grade in public and private schools, I launched my tutoring business in 2010 and had as many as 15 students at a time each tutoring multiple times a week. I have personally tutored hundreds of students since 2010, ranging in age from K-4 all the way up through adult learners. Also, learners with various needs and abilities ranging from children with special needs all the way up through graduate level students. Most of my experience, however, is with elementary-middle school students. If you ask me what I love to do in regards to teaching and tutoring I would say with enthusiasm, "I love to bring the best out of people!" Children and adolescents can feel this and they respond to my positive expectations of them. I am results oriented, but I've learned to make the work of the journey fun with the right attitude while celebrating the learner on the way to mastery, whatever the skill and understanding we are building. My specialty is coming up with an individualized game plan catered to the personal needs and interests of students, while in communication with their teacher, keeping in mind curriculum standards, tests, and the student's future and direction.

From my childhood growing up in the woods you can understand why I must get out into the open air and nature to hike, or run, or ride a bike. I grew up playing almost every sport with a ball though my favorite sport will always be basketball. I am a UNC Tarheels fan. I regularly run on a beautiful trail here in Greenville and can run up to 12 miles. I can relate with video games too because I used to play many hours a day in my younger years. Reading is a daily habit of mine, ask me what I enjoy reading. I read a book each week. I play guitar and listen to all sorts of music. Finally, I am very social and love to be around friends. I love to hear people's stories and about their life and what they like and don't like.
