About Me

I am a rising junior at Stony Brook University (SBU), double majoring in English and Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Currently, I am completing my research for my Honors English thesis, though I am also a Teacher's Assistant and Resident Assistant! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my favorite topics to teach are Literature and essay editing. I truly value being able to share my love for these topics with students, with the hopes that they too will get excited about reading and writing. In my experience, helping struggling students to break through any mental block is essential to their learning process. As someone who struggled with math and science classes throughout high school (and even in my Undergraduate career), I understand how frustrating it can be to grasp certain topics, so I feel that encouraging students is just as important as teaching them the material at hand. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the guitar, and spending time with my friends!
