About Me

Hello! My name is Michael Hoare and I work as a data engineer in the public sector. I am a self-taught programmer as I obtained my undergraduate degree in finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned my Master's degree at Virginia Tech in Business Intelligence. I specialize in teaching introductory python, SQL, and databases. These skills are extremely useful for anyone who deals with data, including business analysts and entry level-developers. In my personal experience, the best way to learn these skills is to apply them. Hence, my teaching is very interactive where we are constantly typing code and seeing the output.
