About Me

I enjoy learning and teaching, it is always fun! I'm a geospatial scientist, I like to share my scientific passion with students and early career professionals as there are so many tools and resources that can make a difference in that early stages. My favorite topics are programming, remote-sensing (geography), chemistry, and math. About me:I'm an environmental engineer with a master's degree in geography focused on geospatial technologies, and currently, I'm finishing my doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology. My main work consists in using satellite data and site level information to calculate the carbon and water fluxes. This helps us to monitor the growth of the crops, the amount of water and nutrients they use, and also, it helps us to identify and detect droughts. In my career, I've specialized in water resources as they are limited and crucial for us, remote-sensing and programing because they let us explore the earth and can be applied in multiple fields, and the combined use of water modeling and remote sensing that is important in topics like agriculture.
