As a social worker turned educator, I have been working with children in various settings for almost 30 years. With a focus on Special Education I have worked in early childhood settings as well as the school system for almost 15 years with students who have Autism, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia/Dysgraphia and who were also hard of hearing before choosing to teach 1:1 online full time since 2019. Learning the basics of curriculums is key to teaching students online. I enjoy diving into the Orton Gillngham approach, Singapore Math, Good and the Beautiful as well as many of the state tests. I love seeing how all students are unique and possess their own learning styles. My focus is on the needs of each student and to help them learn at the pace that is right for them.
