As a social worker turned educator, I have been working with children in various settings for almost 30 years. I began my journey working with children and families at Head Start ensuring that all needs were being met in and out of the classroom. I have educated families and communities on topics such as child safety, child and family development as well as early childhood education. As a Preschool teacher focusing on the basic foundations of school curriculums, I pursued my teaching degree, with a focus on special education. As a Para for over 6 years I worked with students who had Autism, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia/Dysgraphia and who were heard of hearing. I work with many different curriculums such as Singapore Math, Good and the Beautiful for homeschool families and help prepare for state tests. I love seeing how all students are unique and possess their own learning styles. My focus is on the needs of each student and to help them learn at the pace that is right for them.
