About Me

I have a Ph.D in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and have spent years teaching in college classrooms as well as tutoring in-person and online. I was called to be first and foremost an educator. I have successfully helped students from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, including students with no former chemistry coursework as well as adult learners who have returned to school after some time away. I create an effective learning environment that includes strategies for problem-solving and test-taking. I have received many student evaluations over the years, and they highlight my ability to make difficult topics understandable. They also speak about my patience, positivity and good humor which puts students at ease and helps create an interactive working relationship where students are comfortable asking and answering questions.
