About Me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Anthropology and a certificate in Latin American Studies. I also am a 3rd degree (Assistant Master) black belt in taekwondo, and I have taught martial arts for nearly a decade. For the past three summers, I also co-ran a martial arts summer camp where I taught new and experienced students martial arts and also ran "educational hour" within the camp. In the past year, I've spent much more time doing in person one-on-one tutoring for elementary aged children in reading and math. However, I am excited to tutor any student of any age - whether in reading, math, social studies, or martial arts. In both martial arts and academics, I find it's paramount to build a student's confidence and to get them as excited and ready to learn as they can be. And I believe that philosophy shines through in my teaching style and approach.
