About Me

My teaching philosophy is that enthusiasm is contagious and that the best way to motivate students to learn is to embody how much you care about them and about the content of what you are teaching. As a tutor of all topics pertaining to Nutrition who also helps prepare students to pass the RD exam, I am extremely passionate about the importance of this science and in the importance of nutrition in the medical profession. I also find it important to keep students engaged and actively involved in their education and as such strive to be down-to-earth, relevant, relatable, and keep an open dialogue. After receiving my Bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Nutrition and Dietetics and completing my Dietetic Internship at Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship, I had the opportunity to work as an Inpatient Dietitian for a little over 4 years. During that time, I have familiarized myself with the duties and responsibilities of what a Dietitian does in the hospital setting. As such, I have a strong background in the clinical aspects of the RD exam. I was actually hired by the hospital I interned at prior to passing the RD exam, and since passing the exam myself, I have helped multiple Dietetic Interns that I have precepted also pass the RD exam. It brings me great joy to help students familiarize themselves with the subject matter on the RD Exam as well as better understand the importance of nutrition as a science as they prepare themselves in their roles as future Dietitians. In the future I would like to obtain a Masters and/or certification in Functional medicine which I believe to be the future of our healthcare system.
