Aside from my more than 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I am well-traveled (parts of Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean) and multi-lingual. I am passionate about my profession, ever searching for the best ways to help my students learn. I tutor a broad range of subjects, mostly in the areas of mathematics and the sciences. I am most passionate about Earth Sciences and Astronomy, Chemistry and test preparation for the SAT and ACT in Mathematics. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, I always am engaging my students in the problem-solving aspects of these examinations, ever honing their strategies to be successful. As a tutor, I firmly believe in engaging with and learning about how my students think and learn so that I can adapt my strategies for maximum success. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading which enriches my life, enjoying time with my family, relaxing on a beach, and learning. I am a life-long learner, and I always encourage my students to learn from their own life experiences.
