About Me

I love to teach and I have been doing it for as long as I can remember (used to read books to Kindergarten kids in junior high and tutored math and science when I was in high school)! Now I teach graduate students! I have an undergraduate degree in occupational therapy which included a lot of coursework in psychology and biological and movement sciences along with anatomy and neuroscience (and of course occupational therapy). I received a Master in Health Science and then went on to earn a PhD in Epidemiology and Bio-statistics. I do a lot of research in my current "day job" and use these research and stats skills to design clinical research studies. I have completed the NBCOT item-writers workshop for the board exam for occupational therapists (which taught me how to write exam questions and what content is included on the board exam). I also wrote product for the American Occupational Therapy Association exam-prep product. Finally, combining my love for travel and adventure with my tutoring skills, I do an annual study prep course for the OT board exam (the NBCOT) in Costa Rica.
