About Me

I specialize in supporting young adult and working adult learners with developing and editing academic essays, study skills, organization, public speaking, presentation development, business and resume writing. I am a seasoned online facilitator with 5 years of experience as Associate Faculty through the University of Phoenix. I prefer interacting with students online; however, in-person tutoring in the evening may be possible if necessary to support a learner's goals. As a healthcare consultant with over 25 years of clinical and administrative managerial experience, sharing my accumulated experience and knowledge with my clients is my passion; therefore, tutoring is a natural extension for me. My academic credentials include holding an MBA from The George Washington University, as well as a Bachelor of Science, Health Administration- Long Term Care from the University of Phoenix. My professional credentials include certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) through the Health Care Compliance Association and certification as a Home Care Coding Specialist (HCS-H) through the Association of Home Care Coding and Compliance (AHCC). I am also a board certified fellow (FACHE) in healthcare management through the American College of Healthcare Executives My professional areas of expertise include Medicare and Medicaid, health policy, regulatory compliance, HIPAA, health information technology, healthcare financial management, project management and process improvement methodology.
