About Me

I earned my Bachelor degree in the field of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I went on to receive two master's degrees, one from the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in Physics of Materials, and the other from WesternMichigan University, Michigan in Physics. I completed my Ph.D.in Atomic and Molecular Physics at Western Michigan University. I prefer to construct the concept for my students rather than teaching directly, as in traditional lecturemethods. I encourage students through group discussions, discussion board activities, and in-class problem-solving activities that improve student-student interactions. I am an individual who adjusts my teaching methods in order to get improved student output across her courses. I trained for online teaching and had experienced on online teaching.
