I don't believe that education is restricted to the classroom-learning happens everywhere and throughout our lives. I hope to help students use what they learn to help them succeed outside of the classroom and well into the future. My favorite part about teaching is trying to help students overcome the fear and failure that can sometimes be associated with learning. And the amazing part about tutoring is that it's a two way street: I learn from my students just as much as, if not more than, they learn from me. In addition to my Biology degree, I also hold a UTeach composite science teaching certification obtained from UT's nationally recognized teacher preparation program. I student taught Integrated Physics and Chemistry at McCallum High School and stayed there to teach Aquatic Science and AP Biology for two more months. In my spare time, I like to read, swim, and watch foreign movies.
