In high school, I tutored students in geometry and this past year at college, I tutored others in college Algebra. In addition to math (ranging from pre-algebra to pre-calculus), I can tutor students in Spanish and ACT English. I understand that students learn in different ways and at different speeds, and can easily adapt to their different needs. First, I generally like to review and explain the specific topic the students is having trouble with. Second, after the student seems to have grasped the content, I usually create sample problems and make the student answer them and walk me through the explanations. I understand that not all students will know exactly what they need help with either, so in those cases, I do an all-comprehensive review and gauge the student's understanding as I progress. Aside from tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my friends, as well as reading or painting! I also enjoy walking my dog, and volunteering with animals!
